GRANT REQUEST

Grant requests are considered on a quarterly basis by the The Cardiovascular Research and Education Foundation Grants and Education Committee and awarded from unrestricted contributions received by the Foundation. The Foundation’s mission is to provide educational and philanthropic support to advance the field of cardiology through innovative programs benefiting both healthcare professionals and patients.

Timeline

Grants may be submitted year round but are reviewed on a quarterly basis. Applications must be received on the following days to be eligible for consideration: February 29, May 29, August 29 and November 28, 2008. Applicants will be notified within 4 weeks of review by the Grant and Education Committee as to the status of the request. The Cardiovascular Research and Education Foundation operates on a January 1 – December 31 annual budget.

The Foundation is Unable to Fund

  • Salaries
  • Programs/projects in conflict with the mission & values of CREFI
  • Programs/projects that compete with existing CREFI services or projects
  • Projects/programs outside Indiana

Grant Size

Proposals requesting more than $10,000 will not be considered by the committee. Grant terms are for one year.

Evaluation and Reporting

Grant recipients are required to submit a written report upon completion of their project (form will be provided) or submit a progress and fiduciary report on an annual basis if the project extends more than one year. In addition to the written report, photos of the project and testimonials from beneficiaries are encouraged and helpful in raising additional unrestricted contributions.

Grantees

Grants are awarded exclusively for projects that benefit the mission of CREFI.

Requests for capital projects or equipment must first be submitted through the capital allocation committee.
