Judith A. Monroe, MD

Dr. Monroe is the Indiana State Health Commissioner and a family physician at St.Vincent Hospital. She was appointed in 2005 by Governor Mitch Daniels to serve as the Health Commissioner and Medical Diretor of Medicaid. Dr. Monroe is a member of the Association of State and Territorial Helath Officials (ASTHO) and was recently appointed vice chair of the ASTHO National Preparedness Policy Committee.

 

Zmora Zohar, RN, MPA

Zmora Zohar is the Director of Trauma and Resusciation at the Western Galilee Hospital in Nahariya, Isreael.  She has been an integral part of the Medical delegation with MDA (the Israeli EMS) to Sri-Lanka after the Tsunami Disaster as well as a member of the Medical delegation to Nairobi, Kenya. She shares her country’s experience in the fields of emergency, trauma, resuscitation and mass casualties preparedness.

 

Kim Kwiatek, MD, FACEP

Dr. Kwiatek is Associate Clinic Professor at Wright State University Hospital, Department of Emergency Medicine in Dayton, OH. He spent a year in Israel practicing family medicine in the Western Galilee and emergency medicine at Carmel Hospital in Haifa. He has since been on many trips to Israel to study disaster medicine and was the lead physician for the Ohio-5 Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) on three deployments for the Republican National Convention, Florida Hurricane Francis and Mississippi for Huricane Katrina.
